The Philippines’ leading airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) started twice daily flights last October 25 to offer more alternatives to travelers in the South Cotabato area.

This new frequency gives passengers a choice between morning flights that leave General Santos every 9:20am and leaves Manila every 7:00am, and afternoon flights that depart General Santos at 2:50pm and departs Manila at 12:30pm.

Cebu Pacific also flies from General Santos to Cebu every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The lowest possible year-round ‘Go Lite’ fare for the General Santos-Manila route is P1,988. For the General Santos-Cebu route, it’s P1,188. Passengers with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking.

Last weekend, the sixth tropical cyclone to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has ravaged most of the Philippines especially Panay Island, some areas of Negros Occidental, Leyte, and other towns and cities in the Philippines.

Typhoon Frank (International Codename: Fengshen) claimed hundreds of lives, destroyed hundreds or even thousands of homes, and left a multitude of people with nothing to eat, nothing to drink, nothing to wear and nowhere to stay. One of the most damaged areas in the Philippines is the province of Iloilo. Until now, electricity has not yet been restored. Potable water is very very limited. And food is scarce.

You can share your old (but still usable) clothes, canned goods, rice, drinking water, cash and other basic necessities. Many non-government organizations (NGOs) are receiving donations in cash and in kind for the victims of Typhoon Frank.

Following a successful simulation yesterday, July 15, 2008, Manila International Airport Authority and Cebu Pacific announced today (July 16) that Cebu Pacific will transfer part of its domestic operation to Terminal 3 starting on July 22.

“We will phase our transfer to NAIA Terminal 3 by initially transferring our ATR operations on July 22, to be followed by the balance of our domestic flights. International operations will also move to Terminal 3 later in 2008,” said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific vice president.

Cebu Pacific flights from Manila to: Boracay (Caticlan), Laoag, Naga, San Jose (Mindoro), and Tuguegarao will be the first to operate out of the new terminal starting July 22.

“As the country’s largest domestic carrier, we are very excited to be offering our guests a better airport terminal because this will definitely improve their flight experience.” Iyog emphasized.

Cebu Pacific at present uses the old domestic terminal for local flights and the NAIA Terminal 1 for its international operations.

“This very positive development is certainly something that has been long awaited not only by the airport authorities and Cebu Pacific, but by the traveling public most especially,” said Tirso Serrano, MIAA Assistant General Manager for Airport Development and Corporate Affairs. “The NAIA family comprised of MIAA and the other government agencies operating at the premier gateway are joining hands to make the initial operations at the new terminal safe, secure, convenient for all passengers and stakeholders.” Serrano added.

Kicks off Zamboanga – Tawi-Tawi and Cagayan de Oro-Iloilo routes with seat sale as low as P488

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) holds a seat sale for its 2 newest domestic routes and Zamboanga hub from June 22 to 24, 2011 or until seats last, for travel from October 14 to November 30, 2011.

Passengers from Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi can buy P488 seats during the seat sale, which is 25% less than the lowest year-round fare for this route. Tawi-Tawi is the airline’s 50th destination and 77th route. It will be a daily service starting October 14, utilizing an Airbus A319 aircraft.

After the seat sale, passengers can begin booking their Zamboanga – Tawi-Tawi flights for as low as P649.

P688 seats are also available for Cagayan de Oro – Iloilo, CEB’s 78th route. It is the only airline offering direct flights from Western Visayas to Northern Mindanao for the benefit of its passengers. It will be a Monday, Wednesday, Friday service starting October 14, utilizing an Airbus A319 aircraft.

CEB also holds a Zamboanga hub seat sale to further promote travel from the region. For travel from August 1 to November 30, 2011, passengers can buy P688 seats from Zamboanga to Cebu and Davao, as well as from Manila to Cagayan de Oro.

Meanwhile, for travel from August 1 to September 30, 2011, P888 seats are available from Manila to Zamboanga and Davao.

Guests can avail of their Prepaid Baggage Allowances upon booking, for travel savings as much as 63% on domestic flights compared to buying baggage allowance at the airport.

“CEB is proud to offer connectivity to Tawi-Tawi, given its religious and cultural diversity and potentials for trade and tourism. With our flights from Zamboanga, more Filipinos can experience the convenience and speed of air travel, on our trademark low fares,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Cebu Paciifc offers P999 seat sale promo fare to all 10 Mindanao destinations; Cebu Pacific also lowers Brunei, Ho Chi Minh seats to P1,499

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) promotes its routes from Manila to 10 destinations in Mindanao in a P999 ‘Go Lite’ seat sale from February 22-24, 2011 or until seats last.

For travel this May 1 to June 30, 2011, passengers can avail of P999 ‘Go Lite’ seats from Manila to Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, General Santos, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Surigao or Zamboanga.

Cebu Pacific is also offering P1,499 ‘Go Lite’ seats from Manila to Brunei and Ho Chi Minh, for travel this April 1 to June 30, 2011. Those with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking.

The airline flies from Manila to Cotabato, Dipolog and Ozamiz daily, to Butuan twice daily, to Surigao thrice weekly, to Davao 45 times weekly, to General Santos 18 times weekly, and to Pagadian five times weekly.

Starting March 28, 2011, Cebu Pacific will increase flight frequencies to its Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga operations. It will operate 46 times weekly flights from Manila to Cagayan de Oro, and thrice daily flights to Zamboanga.

“This seat sale is up to 44% less than our lowest year-round fares to Mindanao, so guests are encouraged to plan their business and leisure trips in advance. We offer the most number of destinations and flight frequencies between Manila and Mindanao, positively stimulating tourism and trade,” said Cebu Pacific VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

“Guests can also take advantage of this seat sale to take connecting flights from Mindanao to Brunei and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh). Cebu Pacific cuts Brunei, Osaka fares in half; Cebu Pacific offers other domestic and international seats up for as low as P599

One of Asia’s fastest growing airlines, Cebu Pacific (CEB) promotes Brunei, Osaka and several international and domestic destinations in a seat sale promo from July 7-9, 2010, for travel from August 1 to October 31, 2010.

Cebu Pacific’s trademark low fares from Manila to Brunei become 48% less with a P1,499 ‘Go Lite’ seat sale, while Manila-Osaka fares are 50% less with a P2,999 ‘Go’ seat sale. Brunei is one of the airline’s newest international destinations aside from Beijing, and will be launched on August 21, 2010.

Its Osaka flights, on the other hand, achieved a 62% year-on-year growth, based on January-May passenger figures for 2009 and 2010. It maintains its thrice weekly schedule, utilizing Cebu Pacific’s aircraft fleet, which is one of the youngest in Asia.

Meanwhile, P599 ‘Go Lite’ seats are up for grabs for flights from Manila to Bacolod, Coron (Busuanga), Iloilo, San Jose (Mindoro), Legazpi, Naga and Virac, and vice versa. The ‘Go Lite’ seat sale fare of P999 is also available for flights from Manila to Boracay (Caticlan), Kalibo or Puerto Princesa, and vice versa.

‘Go Lite’ low fares to the following international routes are also available: P999 for Manila-Kota Kinabalu flights, P1,999 for Cebu-Hong Kong and Cebu-Singapore flights, and P2,499 for Cebu-Busan and Cebu-Incheon flights.

The Philippine’s leading airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) goes the extra mile by offering special travel rates in the North Luzon Travel Expo this coming November 13-15, 2009 at SM Clark. This is valid for travel November 16, 2009 to March 23, 2010.
