Cebu Pacific Destinations: Cauayan

Posted on March 15, 2010

Cauayan got its name from the word Cauayan meaning bamboo in the dialect of Gaddang, the early settlers of this place. Full of culture from the Spanish and pre-Spanish Eras, this province is home to the Gawagaway-yan Festival, a celebration of the city’s bountiful livelihood and a tribute to the ancestry of Cauayenos. For fun-in-the-sun adventures, be sure to check out the Water World resort and Aguinaldo Hydro, one of the biggest dams in Asia.
