Puerto Princesa is the capital of Palawan. With its crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, world-class island resorts, coral formations, and exotic animals, Palawan is now considered a tropical paradise by most of the world. The prehistoric Tabon Caves are also located in Palawan, where fossils and crude tools dating back 22,000 years have been unearthed. You’ll encounter a diving and snorkeling spot in almost any area. From Puerto Princesa, you can take a boat to one of the best dive sites in the world, the Tubbataha Reefs: home to exciting marine life that includes sea turtles, manta rays, and sharks.
