Cebu Pacific offers Domestic Seat Sale for selected Manila hub routes

Cebu Pacific secures Japan nod to remove surcharge and offers Osaka, Davao, Dipolog, Zamboanga seat sale.

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading low-fare airline, has secured the approval of Japan Civil Aviation Board to completely remove surcharges for its Manila-Osaka route.

Cebu Pacific is currently the only airline granted such a leeway, which will result in a fare reduction its Manila-Osaka fare by 46-percent.

Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific VP for marketing and distribution, said, “We asked for the removal of the surcharges to make travel more affordable especially in these challenging times. This will also help us stimulate travel because passengers can now see the real out of pocket cost paid to Cebu Pacific.”

To mark this milestone, Cebu Pacific is offering a promotional fare of P3,999 one-way for its Manila-Osaka service starting today until March 10, 2009 and is good for travel from May 31 to October 29. Passengers will just pay for applicable government taxes.

After the seat sale, the lowest year-round ‘Go’ fare to Osaka starts from P4,999. This is a price cut of 40-percent from the current fares offered by other airlines.

Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific is also offering a P788 promotional ‘Go Lite’ fare for its services from Manila to Davao, Dipolog and Zamboanga that will run from today until March 7, 2009 and is valid for travel from April 1 to July 31.

Promotional fares are non-refundable.

Iyog added, “These low fare initiatives are geared to make air travel more affordable for EveryJuan traveling to and from the Philippines. We hope that many will take advantage of this opportunity to visit these destinations.”

For flight bookings, passengers can log onto www.cebupacificair.com, call the call center at 70-20-888, or visit their nearest travel agent.

Now on its 13th year, CEB continues to have the youngest aircraft fleet in the Philippines, comprised of 11 Airbus A320, 10 Airbus A319, and seven ATR 72-500.
