The dynamic airline makes its mark in the airline industry after ranking first in the world in terms of revenue passengers per kilometer growth, according to Airline Business Magazine’s May 2008 issue. In another category, namely the most total number of passengers carried in 2007, Cebu Pacific ranked number 23 in the world and number 5 in Asia.
The airline hit a 5.5-million passenger mark in 2007 and expects to fly seven million passengers this year with a new fleet of planes coming in. “This is a testament that our offerings – new aircrafts and affordable fares – have caught on and we believe will continue to gain momentum,” says Lance Gokongwei, Cebu Pacific President and CEO.
